A few weeks back we reported that hero Nani is gearing up to collaborate with Ante Sundaraniki director Vivek Athreya yet again for a film. Reportedly, noted producer DVV Danayya who recently bankrolled RRR is on board to produce Nani- Vivek Athreya’s film.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that the team is planning to rope in one of the noted actors from South cinema for the powerful antagonist role. Who will grab the lucky chance to act in Nani’s film? Remains to be seen.
It is widely known that the first outing from the actor-director duo Nani and Vivek Athreya’s Ante Sundaraniki had a theatrical release last year on June 10th. Despite getting decent word of mouth, this romantic drama failed miserably at the domestic box office in minting revenues. On the other hand, the film generated $1 million at the US box office and emerged as a profitable venture there. One of the major complaints regarding the film is three hours lengthy runtime.
Post the film’s release, critics and a few general audiences opined that if the runtime was kept within limits the film would have ended up as a box office hit. Though the news came out that the makers will be trimming the runtime from the second day, later the news settled as a social media buzz. It needs to be seen if Nani and Vivek Athreya rectify the mistakes done with Ante Sundaraniki in the new film or not.
