SP Balasubramaniam, India’s favourite voice for over 5 decades has been admitted in MGM hospital, Chennai on 5th August due to Covid-19. At first, the singer himself said that he wanted to be sure about his health and hence, checked into an hospital.
He asked people to not bother him while he was at the hospital. But the news came out that he had been shifted to ICU and put on life support. SP Charan, his son, has been giving out updates about SPB and once, he broke down talking about his father’s condition.
This prompted many celebrities and fans of the singer to come up with prayer meets and on 21st August, major number of celebrities met on Zoom video call for a prayer meet. Now, the news came out on 24th morning that SPB tested Covid Negative and people started saying that he will be discharged soon too.
Charan issued a clarification immediately and asked people to not spread rumours. He clearly stated that even though SPB is stable, he is still on life support in ICU as his lungs have been affected by Covid virus. The singer is fighting the infection and even Covid Virus has been flushed out from his body, his lungs need to repair, for him to be able to walk or talk again.
Charan said that he will issue a latest update about SPB’s health in the evening and requested people to wait till then before writing anything. He again asked them to refrain from spreading rumours.
