The sudden passing of popular lyricist Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry left an unshakable impact on the film industry, which was devastated by the news. Having written lyrics for hundreds of songs throughout his career, Sirivennela left a deep impact on all of his collaborators and on the audience as well, who enjoy his songs to date.
A new song, titled ‘Sirivennela’, from Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy, has been released, and it also happens to be the last song written by Sirivennela. Despite his health not cooperating, the lyricist is said to have been adamant about writing the song, having liked the concept. He is said to have taken 4 months to write the song, and the song was recorded in Mumbai on the day the lyricist’s last rites were held. He also wrote another song in Shyam Singha Roy, which is expected to be released soon. Sirivennela is a romantic melody, which centres around Sai Pallavi and Nani in the movie.
Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry was suffering from lung cancer for quite some time but kept it under wraps. Tollywood honoured the legend by postponing every release and promotional activity that was scheduled at the time of his unfortunate passing.
