Director Ram Gopal Varma and Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani, after exchanging a series of heated tweets on Twitter, on the ticket pricing issue, came to a decision to meet each other in person, and discuss the issue at length. RGV confirmed that he has been given an appointment to meet with Nani on the 10th of this month, which is tomorrow.
Many people from within and outside the industry are currently looking at RGV as the ultimate solution to the tickets problem in AP, as he’s known to be one person who doesn’t take a backstep when it comes to proving his point and standing by it. RGV’s 10 questions to the AP government, posted on Twitter, trended as soon as he posted them, and now everyone is waiting for RGV to meet Nani, and for the ensuing result of the meeting.
The AP government, very infamously, decided last year, that the ticket prices for movies would be decided by the government itself, and despite the AP HC’s verdict and the many requests from various Tollywood members, the government continues to impose its rules. It’s now to be seen what will happen.
