So far, only two movies have started with a massive 200 crore rupees worldwide: “RRR” and “Baahubali 2,” both directed by SS Rajamouli, who also saw them soar past 1000 crore rupees globally. There was hope that “Pushpa 2: The Rule” could follow suit, originally set for release on August 15th to benefit from the holiday rush.
However, it has now been delayed until December 6th, losing that holiday edge. This makes it a tough task to match Rajamouli’s record. “Pushpa 2” was expected to kick off with a 200 crore worldwide gross, but now, without the holiday advantage, hitting that mark will be challenging.
Still, it’s likely to easily surpass 100 crore rupees worldwide. Director Sukumar is focused on delivering a top notch film, which led to the release date postponement. Allu Arjun, the star actor, supports Sukumar’s decision and doesn’t want to main rush him with post production. Two songs from the movie have already been released and received well by audiences.
Despite the delay, expectations remain high for “Pushpa 2,” with fans eager for its eventual release on December 6th. While matching Rajamouli’s colossal records seems unlikely without the holiday boost, the film is poised to make a different impact with its unique storyline and the star power of Allu Arjun icon style.
