Poonam Kaur pens a poem out of respect towards Tanikella Bharani

Tanikella Bharani is a multi-faceted personality. He is a writer and actor. He is also an exponent of spiritual literature. A devotee, he has digested the philosophy of Shiva. He is the ‘Thota Ramudu’ of Telugu cinema. He is the creator who breathed life into the characters of Appu Dasu and Bucchi Lakshmi in ‘Mithunam’. Besides being a writer of repute, he has played a range of characters with full of life. While he is a versatile actor on screen, off screen he is always a natural.

Be it as a writer of lines or a speaker of lines as an actor, Tanikella Bharani has always done it with practised ease, as though he is raising a neat structure or enlivening a beautiful flower. Fittingly, actress Poonam Kaur has penned an apt poem on the versatile Tanikella. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she has done so by managing to get into the soul of Tanikella Bharani’s life.

Talking about the poem, Poonam Kaur says, “Bharani garu has immense respect for Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I happened to hold a LIVE chat interaction on Instagram on Baisakhi day. I had him listen to this poem on the occasion. I wrote it as Bharani garu’s autobiographical poem.”

ఔను….
నేను నటుడినే.
కానీ, నిజ జీవితంలో నటించలేకపోయాను.
ఔను …
నేను ఒక కళాకారుడినే.
కానీ, కళామతల్లి మీద
ప్రేమ, అభిమానంతో,
కళ విలువ తెలియకుండా
నా దగ్గరకి వచ్చే
ప్రతి మనిషికి నేను
నా కళని అమ్ముకోలేకపోయాను.
సాహిత్యం పట్ల ప్రేమతో,
మన భారత దేశంలో ఉన్న
సంస్కృతిని మరింతగా వికసింపచేయాలని
ఒక చిన్న ఆశ.
ఆ భావంతో,
మనసు నిండా అదే ఆలోచనతో
నేను నా ప్రతి నాటకం రాశా.
డబ్బు గురించి మాట్లాడితే
అవసరాలు కొన్ని, ఆశయాలు కొన్ని తీర్చుకున్నాను.
అమ్మ శ్రీ మహాలక్ష్మి ప్రేమతో,
కరుణతో, మర్యాదతో వచ్చినపుడు
శిరసు వంచి అందుకున్నాను.
నా దగ్గరకి వచ్చిన మనిషి
అహంభావం చూపించినా,
నేను ప్రేమతోనే చూశాను.
కానీ,
నాలో ఉన్న కళా దైవాన్ని మాత్రం
ఏరోజూ అహంతో పంచుకోలేకపోయాను.
వెనకడుగు వేసే ప్రతి నిమిషం
కుటుంబ అవసరాలు గుర్తుకు వచ్చేవి.
కానీ నా స్వార్ధం కోసం
నేను అత్యంత గౌరవాన్ని ఇచ్చే
కళామతల్లిని నేను అమ్ముకోలేకపోయాను.
పూజ చేశాక,
మా ఆవిడ నా నుదిటిన పెట్టిన బొట్టుతో
నా పాదం బాధ్యతతో బయటకు కదిలేది.
నాకు తోడుగా ఎప్పటికీ ఉంటాను
అని మా ఆవిడ అంటే,
నీ సహాయం లేకుండా
ఈ జీవితం ఎలా గడిపేది అంటాను నేను.
పిల్లలందరిని నేను కోరుకునేది ఒకటే.
అమ్మ అనే బంధానికి ప్రేమని పంచండి.
నాన్న అనే పదంతో స్నేహం పెంచుకోండి.
ఇంతకంటే ఎక్కువ ఏమీ ఆశల్లేని
నేను…..
