Theatres in Telugu states are the only option for many people to hang out with friends or meet girl friends. Film watching is the favourite past-time hobby for many in Telugu families. Youth love to go to theatres under different pretexts and families while they avoid going to theaters much, but they like to visit a good screen and enjoy a film with crowd at least once in a while or a month.

Still, we see many theaters reporting losses by every year end and many are turning into malls or multiplexes or function halls. With Covid-19 pandemic, even those that are surviving seem to have taken a big hit. In Kadapa, a theater, Murali 70 MM has decided sell off furniture like Sound System, Air Conditioning system and it shows how bad the situation is really, right now. Seems like the reaction of the pandemic will be severe in coming days.
