At the time of the release of the GO with the new increased prices of tickets in Andhra Pradesh, the government said that it would be allowing special permissions to just RRR and Radhe Shyam, by letting the tickets be sold at higher prices, and with extra shows for the films, considering their budgets. However, with Radhe Shyam set to release tomorrow, the AP government has not fulfilled any of its words, with the bookings opening with the new revised rates only.
This comes as a major disappointment for the makers of Radhe Shyam, as they were hoping that these special permissions would help in the revenues of the film, as the film is made with a budget of nearly Rs. 300 Crores. Now that Radhe Shyam hasn’t been given any special permissions, all eyes have turned towards RRR, which has been made on a budget of Rs. 500 Crores. Everyone is now wondering whether the government will give special permissions to at least RRR or not.
RRR is a major player, just like Radhe Shyam, and even though the films will be released across the country, the collections from AP also matter a lot, as the state contributes to a good amount of revenue.
