It is well-known that to discuss various film and theatre related issues in Andhra Pradesh, a group of Telugu film industry bigwigs along with the distributors and exhibitors met the state minister Perni Nani yesterday. As per the sources, in the meeting, various issues like ticket pricing, electricity waiver for the single screens and problems being faced by the distributors chain across AP during the Covid testing times came into the discussion.
But the major clarity that came from the government’s end is that the state government will be launching a ticket selling portal through which the tickets will be sold to the moviegoers. Adding to it, news is also that there will be a check on the benefit shows for all big films during their release. As per producer C Kalyan’s version, from now onwards, there will be no benefit shows for any big film in Andhra Pradesh state. Usually, during the theatrical release, all big budget films used to have advanced paid shows in Andhra Pradesh with no limit on the ticket price but this is likely to end with the ruling party’s new rules and regulations.
Though the meeting happened yesterday afternoon in Vijayawada, till now, none of the bigwigs responded on the same.
