Megastar fans are eagerly anticipating ‘Vishwambhara,’ a new film by director Vashishtha under UV Creations. The project recently kicked off with a grand opening ceremony and boasts an estimated budget of around Rs. 200 crores.
Scheduled to begin shooting in December, ‘Vishwambhara’ has generated buzz due to its purported similarity in style to the beloved classic ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari.’ Director Vashishtha has been sharing insights into the film’s genre, highlighting its reliance on visual effects.
Vashishtha revealed that a significant 70 percent of ‘Vishwambhara’ will heavily incorporate visual effects to craft a world infused with spirituality, focusing on elements like ‘panchabhutas’ and ‘trishul shakti.’ Expressing eagerness for filming to commence, Vashishtha emphasized the lack of a pure fantasy film akin to ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari’ in the last three decades, hinting that ‘Vishwambhara’ aims to fill that gap.
However, there’s a lingering concern stemming from Chiranjeevi’s ‘Anji,’ which also heavily relied on visual effects but didn’t fare well at the box office. This raises questions about whether ‘Vishwambhara’ can captivate audiences despite its heavy reliance on VFX. The success of the film hinges on balancing the usage of visual effects with a compelling storyline and audience engagement, especially considering past experiences with VFX-driven movies in the industry.
