Their relationship began when they performed in theatre together. Later on, though, they took separate, barely intersecting routes. It’s important to note that they did collaborate on the movie Veer Zara. The actor from Aligarh reflected on those times and asserted that SRK is still an outsider.
When asked about Shah Rukh’s achievements during a recent appearance on Aaj Tak’s Seedhi Baat, Manoj Bajpayee responded that he always hopes for the best for him. Manoj was questioned about his frustration with not achieving “insider” status after spending three decades working in the field.
Manoj Bajpayee then replied, “See, Shah Rukh embraced the industry, and that was his journey. When people think of me as an outsider, I see that as an honor. Shah Rukh is also an outsider, actually. He made a place for himself in the industry, and he did it so well the real insiders wanted to be seen with him. I never wanted this for myself.”
“But he’s better looking… He was always good-looking, he has a chocolatey face. And he’s so charming. Even back in the day, everyone would say that I’m talented, but they would want to hang out only with him.”
Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bajpayee have consistently supported each other’s endeavors. They frequently post encouraging messages on social media, endorsing and promoting each other’s projects.
