MAA TV Wants Discount for Sardaar Gabbar Singh Satellite Rights

The series of disappointments for Sardaar Gabbar Singh continues. When the promos, music an teasers were out all the biggies from the television industry were in the league for sattelite rights — be it MAA TV, Gemini, Zee Telugu give fancy offers for satellite rights, they were all in the race.

To secure the rights, MAA TV, paid a huge sum of 12.5 crores to acquire the satellite rights. No movie, till date apart from SGS has gotten that huge a sum apart from Baahubali. But now, I guess, the broadcasters might have to face a stupendous loss, given how big a disappointment SGS was! It was reported that MAA TV paid a huge sum as advance to get the rights and has ask Sarath Maraar if the money can be lessened a bit.
