I felt like a great emotional connect with ANR

Sumanth Yarlagadda is playing ANR character in NTR biopic, NTR with Balakrishna in the direction of Krish. The team released his first look on the occasion of ANR’s birthday on 20th September and the look is going viral.

He talked about the look and his character. He said, ” I am using my grand father’s last car to go to the sets and that is a great emotional connect for me with him. But to play him on screen I am nervous but excited. I am enjoying it at the same time.

I take a lot of feedback from my sister, Supriya and she knew the script right from the start. I shared my look from the film with her and she insisted that we release the photo that we released when I was not sure about it.

Akhil Akkineni has been very excited about the getups as we are showing the relationship between the two greats from 1951 to until my grandfather turns 65. So, I have different getups and Akhil has been telling me to get them right all the time.

Venkatesh, Nagarjuna liked the look a lot. I got a chance to work with Rana who grew up with me and he is doing really well. I lost 6 kilos for the role and Balakrishna is a delight to work with.”
