Aravind Swamy, the reluctant actor and clever businessman of South India rose to fame as an actor after debuting in Thalapathy, with Roja, Bombay. His association with Mani Ratnam gave him all the recognition he would have never dreamt and he made sure that he use all the opportunities. When he was making big progress as an actor, he chose to leave the films and concentrate on building a software company. After many years once again Mani brought back on screen with Kadali and he mesmerized audience with Mohan Raja’s Thani Oruvan. The movie and his character left a lasting impact on producers and actor, Ram Charan as well.
All waited long for him to accept the offer and sent Surender Reddy to give him narration from his outlook. After, Dhruva becoming a success, Aravind Swamy, shared his happiness with media in an interaction. When he was asked about what convinced him to accept the movie in Telugu, he said he likes challenges and this was another challenge for him. The challenge was not about acting in Telugu but doing the same role in a different over the top way, that Suri asked him to. Giving a different body language to already mighty Siddharth Abhimanyu made it a challenge and Aravind Swamy wanted to explore the character in a different way.
In original he had his own contributions but here he surrendered to Suri’s vision and he said he was happy that audience accepted and he was able to pull it off. He thanked telugu audience and explained it was challenges that built his career. During his modeling days he questioned himself if he can and he found out the answer by doing it. After that when Roja came to him he again took up as Mani was offering it. Soon he went away from limelight but he lost his parents and the tragedy started taking it’s toll on him. It’s Mani again who threw a challenge at him by offering Bombay and consoling him to come out of the trauma.
About future, he said whenever he used to listen to various scripts, he used to visualise in a certain way and writing all those types of visuals on paper helped him to convert his ideas into a viable script. Like this he has two scripts ready to direct and he wants to make them as soon as possible. Immediately, after Bogan and Sathuranga Vettai 2 he wants to feature in a biopic about a police officer’s life written by him and will be directed by someone else. The movie is in planning stage and after this, he will take time and started preparing for his directorial debut it seems. Well with many more endeavors to explore and accomplish, we wish him all the best and congratulate him.
