Geetha Govindam has managed to surprise many this year. Last year, Fidaa did surprise many but it improved over the weeks and ended up collecting Rs. 45 crores above share in the long run. But Geetha Govindam started off such a high note that nobody expected and the Trade is literally in shock the way, Vijay Devarakonda is able to pull families to the theaters with his sizzling chemistry with Rashmika Mandanna on the back of a popular soundtrack from Gopi Sundar and able direction and writing of Parasuram Petla.
The movie collected a huge amount of Rs. 37 crores gross in just three days it is an unprecedented achievement for a medium budget film. It is on par with big heroes films and that’s the major reason for shock. On Saturday and Sunday, with increased theatres, the movie seems to be on a massive upswing and with an open week before @Nartansala and Shailaja Reddy Alludu take over, movie seems to be on path for history.
