Dinesh Mangaluru, who gained fame for his role as a Bombay don in Yash’s KGF passed away at his residence in Kundapura, Udupi district.
He was 55 and according to reports, Dinesh had been suffering from a prolonged illness caused by a brain hemorrhage.
Dinesh began his career with the Kannada political drama Aasphota (1988). Over the years he acted in many popular films such as Aa Dinagalu, Kirik Party, and 777 Charlie.
He also worked in Telugu cinema appearing in Ramabanam. While he had a long career it was his powerful performance and appearance in KGF that brought him great recognition and love.
He is survived by his wife Bharathi Pai and their two sons. His mortal remains were put for public viewing in Bengaluru and the last rites were performed at Sumanahalli Crematorium.
