Chai loses 16 kilos for Premam

Naga Chaitanya might be busy promoting Gautam Menon’s Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo but he is neck-deep into preparing for his role in Premam. The movie is a remake of the hit Malayali movie of the same name and is chiefly a romance that transcends age, timeline and boundaries.

Now, for the preparation of this coming of age story, Chai had to get into a rigorous schedule. So he will be playing someone who transcends through three different timelines, hence to play the role of a 16 year old boy, he has over 16 Kgs of weight. The transformation was so jaw-dropping that everyone in the sets was surprised! Talk about dedication. Having said that, Premam could be a career defining role for Chai as this coming of age romance will give him a chance to show his acting chops. The film also stars Shruti Hasaan, and will release in August.
