Prabhas‘ upcoming big pan world film, Kalki 2898 AD, is generating a lot of buzz in Tollywood and Indian movie industry. The movie is being made on a huge budget and is planned as a multi part film. The first part is set to release on May 30th.
The film combines sci-fi and Hindu mythology in a unique way with emotional story line, which has the makers confident of its success at the box office. However, the high prices quoted by the producers for distribution rights have led to a delay in the sale.
The producers are unwilling to compromise on the price, and have decided to release the film on their own in all territories, taking advances from distributors on a full recovery basis. This means that the producers will bear the risk and reap the profits directly.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, among others. Director Nag Ashwin has promised that Kalki will showcase something never attempted before in Indian cinema.
