Devi Sri Prasad is one of Telugu cinema’s most successful music directors. His songs have helped many films become hits and are still loved by audiences.
But in recent years, except for Pushpa: The Rise, most of his albums didn’t meet expectations. Even Waltair Veerayya, though decent didn’t carry his usual magic.
However DSP has bounced back with three big films, Pushpa 2, Thandel, and Kuberaa. The songs from Pushpa 2 have become a massive hit even before the film’s release, creating huge buzz nationwide.
In Thandel, though the film had mixed reviews, the music became very popular and helped boost the film’s box office performance.
Kuberaa, which released recently, is getting positive reviews. Along with Dhanush and Nagarjuna’s performances and Sekhar Kammula’s direction, DSP’s emotional score is getting special praise.
Though there are few songs the background music enhanced the film’s mood. Before this, he also worked on Kanguva, where his music was appreciated even if the film didn’t do well.
With these back-to-back successes, DSP is back in the spotlight and is now working on Ustaad Bhagat Singh and Junior.
