In Films, mostly Indian films, actresses are looked upon as the glam dolls and fillers who come and go in songs. Many actresses were comfortable to accept what came their way and be ultra glamorous on screen rather than striving to be an actress. Well few even took advantage of their looks and shape to get fame rather for their acting. But few actresses of even today’s generation are announcing their intentions clear to not just limit themselves to being glam dolls and Queens. They are more prepared to be object of attraction and also better actors. Amyra Dastur belong to such thinking space of actresses and she is now coming with her latest movie with Jackie Chan, Kung Fu Yoga. Well as part of promotions, she interacted with media and when asked about her future aspirations, she clearly stated that she wants to be a part of scripts that offer her some substantial part rather than depend on her skin show. She said that she outrightly rejected those scripts that needed her to be ultra glamorous than being an actor.
She said she doesn’t regret her role in Mr.X with Emraan Hashmi but she would never repeat playing such intimate scenes again and she might wear a bikini for film if needed but she has draw the line when it comes to being in intimate scenes. She also said she believes that the ability of an actor is more important than just looks. Looking pretty is great but being known as an actor would be her ultimate goal she said. Coming to her big release, Kung Fu Yoga, she expressed her excitement for being able to share screen space with Jackie Chan who has been a great inspiration for her as well. She quipped that she was excited to be a part of the movie and being able to share screen with such a legend is her dream come true.
