Aditya Chopra discusses his brother Uday Chopra’s dismal career and breaks his silence on the nepotism controversy.

On February 14th, the world’s largest streaming service, Netflix, aired the docuseries The Romantics, which honours the career of renowned director Yash Raj Chopra. Aditya Chopra appears in his first-ever on-screen interview in the four-episode series. He discussed nepotism in the series, and we can’t help but agree with him on several points.

One of Bollywood’s most popular and successful directors is Aditya Chopra. He helped many extraordinary talents get their start and go on to become famous. He recently spoke about the nepotism controversy, which has plagued Bollywood for the past five years. One of the most talked-about subjects ever ever since Kangana Ranaut discussed it on Koffee With Karan. Aditya cited his brother as an example and claimed that the audience alone determines the performers they wish to see.

Producer Aditya Chopra commented on the issue of nepotism, saying, “One of the things that people seem to miss is that not everyone who comes from a rich background- everyone is not successful. I’m able to explain it without mentioning anyone else. I’ll just use an example from my own family to explain.

My brother is an actor, but he doesn’t have much success. The son of a well-known director is shown here. He is related to a well-known filmmaker by blood. If a firm like YRF had released newcomers, we would not have been able to make him famous. Why couldn’t we accomplish it on our own?

The audience is the only group that can say, “I like this person; I want to see this person,” he continued. no other person. Yes. It goes without saying that it might be simpler to secure an audition or a break if you were born into a family in the film industry. However, it ends there.

For those who are unaware, Uday Chopra, the younger brother of Aditya Chopra, made his acting debut in the romance drama Mohabbatein in 2000. Aditya Chopra served as the film’s director, and his father, Yash Raj Chopra, served as producer. Later, the actor made appearances in a few movies and gained fame for his portrayal as Tapori Ali in the movie Dhoom.

We believe with Aditya Chopra that the audience is king and that they alone are the ones who choose which films to see.
