Vadivelu 2.0: Comedy Meets Mythology

Vadivelu is playing a different role in the upcoming film Maareesan inspired by the Ramayana’s golden deer story.

Directed by Sudheesh Shankar with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil. The shoot is complete and post-production is going on.

The story follows Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil on a road trip from Nagercoil to Pollachi, filled with funny and unexpected moments.

But as the journey continues, it connects to mythology revealing that one character is based on Mareesan, the deer that tricks Sita in Ramayana. This twist is expected to be revealed during the intermission.

Kovai Sarala will be seen as a police officer, adding her comic touch. Maareesan mixes humor, mythology, and meaningful messages, giving Vadivelu a fresh and interesting role.
