Khushbu Sundar claims she is not embarrassed to criticise her father after making shocking allegations regarding her abuse.
Khushbu Sundar, an actor-turned-politician, has been in the news since since she made shocking claims about having experienced sex abuse. While Khushbu’s discoveries have shocked her admirers, she recently explained why she felt compelled to share her experience. The BJP member also mentioned how she wanted to be a role model for women and how they should speak up about the struggles they had faced.
One of the well-known actors in South Indian cinema is Khushbu. In the 1990s and 2000s, she participated in more than 100 Tamil films. The last time she appeared was in the Rajinikanth and Nayanthara film Annaatthe.
Khushbu Sundar recently spoke up about the terrible things that happened to her when she was a child. The politician-actress disclosed that she was molested by her father from the age of eight to fifteen. Sundar has now discussed her insights and the reasons behind her decision to speak up about the same in a recent interview.
In an interview, Khushbu Sundar discussed her claim and said that, rather than making a “startling claim,” she was simply being honest. “This has happened to me, and I think the perpetrator needs to be ashamed for what he has done,” the BJP member continued. “I am not ashamed of what I have said.”
Sundar further added how she needed to send a message to others and said, “I think I need to send the message across that you have to be strong and take control of yourself and not let anything bring you down or think that this is the end of the road.” She further said that she took years to speak up and added, “I think women need to speak about it and tell them this has happened to me and I will continue my journey, no matter what.”
