Mega Heroes had various fortunes in 2023. The year began with a good box office hits, as Megastar Chiranjeevi made a strong comeback with “Waltair Veerayya,” thrilling fans and grossing solid numbers at the box office. With the mystical hit “Virupaksha,” his nephew Sai Dharam Tej continued the winning trend, establishing a positive tone for the first half of the year.
However, this year the second half witnessed a downturn for the Mega Heroes. Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s film, “Bro-The Avatar,” disappointed audiences, after Chiranjeevi’s “Bhola Shankar,” which failed to attract fans. It’s the biggest disaster in Chiranjeevi’s career.
The mega flop trend continued as Varun Tej‘s “Gandeevadhari Arjuna” and Vaishnav Tej‘s “Aadikeshava” turned out to be unexpected disasters. Even the re-releases of pawan kalyan’s “Gudumba Shankar” and “Shankar Dada MBBS” also failed to get attention. This back to back disappointment culminated in a bleak and failures second half for Mega Heroes’ fans.
While the announcement of Pushpa 2‘s glimpse and release date for the following year brought some good hope, uncertainty looms over the release date and promotional updates for the film “Game Changer.” Ultimately, 2023 for the Mega Heroes can be summarized as a year of two extremes, a blockbuster start in the first half followed by a series of box office downfall and disasters in the second half.
