Why Swasika Rejected A Role In Ram Charan’s Film

Ram Charan is one of the biggest stars in India today especially after gaining international fame with RRR. For any actress, getting a role in his new film Peddi would usually be a big opportunity.

But Malayalam actress Swasika surprised many by rejecting an important role in the film, even after the team requested her multiple times.

The role offered to her was that of Ram Charan’s mother. Since Swasika is only 33 while Charan is 40 she felt uncomfortable playing the mother of someone older than her.

Though she has done some middle aged characters in Tamil and Malayalam films, she clearly stated that she is not ready to accept mother roles at this stage of her career.

Swasika who started acting in 2009, has done several Tamil and Malayalam films and a few Telugu projects. Currently, she is busy with multiple films, including Karuppu with Suriya.
