Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly died by suicide on 16th June in his apartment. Actually, he was found dead and Mumbai police have issued a statement that the actor decided to die by suicide. They started investigation about the reasons for his death and issued summons to Bollywood big producers and directors to appear for interrogation. After a month of his death, Sushant’s father stated that his son died due to his ex-girl friend Rhea Chakraborthy and alleged that she cheated him for money. Patna Police took his complaint and started investigation. When they stated that Mumbai Police investigation has gaps, Supreme Court asked Indian Government to hand over the case to CBI.
CBI investigation after initial high drama opened up the drugs angle and Narcotics Control Board arrested Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborthy for procuring drugs. Immediately, the actress stated that she procured them for Sushant. She named some more celebrities along with drug peddlers from the Industry. NCB issued summons to actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Das among many celebrities to appear for the interrogation. The actresses have allegedly stated to the officials that they saw Sushant taking drugs during the shot gaps on their film shoots.
They denied having any ties with known peddlers and arrested criminals too. Well, now the NCB and CBI have started investigation in drugs angle even in Sushant’s death case as till date, they have approached drugs case and his death as two separate cases that have been intertwined. They seriously believe Sushant’s death involves his addiction to drugs, in some fashion. But the actor’s family members have denied Sushant of being an addict to alcohol or drugs.
