Vijay once again picks up Mahesh’s story

Tamil Superstar Vijay has, on several occasions, acted in remakes of Superstar Mahesh Babu, including the remakes of Okkadu and Pokiri, which have contributed greatly to his stardom, over the years.

Back in the day, it was even said that Mahesh had rejected the remake of 3 Idiots, directed by Shankar, which then went to Vijay. History is now seemingly being repeated, with sources saying that director Vamshi Paidpally narrated the same script that Mahesh rejected, to Vijay. A while back, it was announced that Vijay and Vamshi would be collaborating together, marking Vijay’s first direct Telugu film.

Dil Raju is producing the film, and Vijay will start shooting for the film once he is done with Beast, which is almost done. Vamshi is said to have recently met with Vijay after a long gap, and narrated the full script of the film. More details about the film are yet to be announced.
