In an interview, Vartika Singh opened up about her acting debut in Junglee Pictures Haq which releases on November 7th.
The film directed by Suparn S Varma is a courtroom drama starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi and is inspired by a landmark Supreme Court case. Vartika is making her Bollywood debut with this film.
Vartika said she feels lucky to begin her acting career with such a strong and unconventional role. “It’s not often that you get such a challenging part in your first film”, she shared. “I’m grateful to Suparn for trusting me with Saira. It’s a big opportunity and I wanted to give it my all”.
Talking about her character she explained that Saira isn’t negative but simply follows her own beliefs. “She’s not someone who creates conflict”, Vartika said. “She just seeks love, acceptance, and compassion”.
Haq, written by Reshu Nath, also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Husain, and Aseem Hattangady.
