Toxic Faces Fresh Trouble With Digital Rights
Yash’s pan-India film Toxic is facing fresh trouble after its disappointing theatrical run. Reports suggest that the film’s digital rights are still unsold.
Before release, a leading OTT platform reportedly offered around Rs. 150 crore but the makers expected more than Rs. 200 crore, hoping for a blockbuster.
However, the film received poor word of mouth and failed at the box office. Reports now claim that OTT platforms are offering only around Rs. 30 crore for the digital rights, with Zee5 said to have made the highest offer.
The satellite rights may also bring limited revenue because of the film’s adult content. Once expected to be a major success, Toxic has now become a challenge for its makers.
And that’s #SandeepReddyVanga’s way of celebrating.
Cheers to the laughs, the love and everything Romanchakam is bringing..
