Telugu states had to stop screening of films like every theater in the world, due to the pandemic. Now, the theater owners have met over a meeting and came up with social distancing Norms to be followed to re-open the theatres as soon as possible.
Theatres have decided to implement,
– E-ticketing everywhere, eliminating paper based booking system.
– Social distancing, while allotting seats – every seat will have no others sitting beside them on right or left.
– Special family boxes where family members can sit side by side with enough distance from others. (Subject to government approval)
– A increased gap between shows by an hour to spray disinfectant and clean the theater properly.
– Social distance queues at popcorn and other eateries stalls, canteens and washrooms.
Theatre owners asked government to subsidise taxes as they have to go for such costly measures to ensure public safety and also asked some funds from government to those theater owners who are badly hit during lockdown. These measures will be first practised in Hyderabad theatres, it seems.
