The Role That Chiranjeevi Turned Down

Euphoria directed by Gunasekhar released recently and it received decent reviews. Gautam Menon played an important role as a police officer which was key character to the story.

In an interview Gunasekhar revealed that he first approached Chiranjeevi for this role. Chiru liked the character and appreciated its depth.

However after about a month, he decided not to do the film. He felt he was not ready to take up special or supporting roles at this stage of his career.

If Chiranjeevi had acted in the film it might have attracted a wide audience. His presence could have changed the film result.

Bhumika played the main lead and the movie focused on strong social issues like parenting, drug abuse, and education.
