The Lost Idea That Found Sivakarthikeyan

Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming action thriller Madharasi is directed by AR Murugadoss. Interestingly, the director revealed that the film’s main character was first pitched to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan about 7–8 years ago.

Murugadoss said it wasn’t a full script back then only the idea of a strong character. Cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran arranged a meeting with SRK, who warmly encouraged the idea and even said, “We’ll do the film”.

But due to delays and lack of follow up the project never took off. Murugadoss also shared that his earlier Bollywood experience with Ghajini did not push him to try another Hindi film.

After a long time the director reimagined the same character with Sivakarthikeyan praising his versatility and adaptability.

While the makers have not opened the plot reports suggest the story is set in North India showing how life changes after an unexpected twist.
