The Inside Story Behind Devara 2’s Delay

There has been ongoing discussion on social media about Devara 2. Many people in Tollywood feel the film might be shelved because of NTR’s packed schedule.

However NTR is still interested, and director Koratala Siva has already completed the script. He has been waiting for NTR to begin the project.

NTR originally planned to finish Prashanth Neel’s movie and then start Devara 2 early next year, but the shoot of Neel’s Dragon has been delayed. Meanwhile, NTR has new commitments lined up.

He has agreed to work with Trivikram and also with Jailer director Nelson, making it difficult for him to allot dates for Devara 2 anytime soon. So, NTR reportedly asked Koratala Siva to take up another film for now.

Koratala has moved ahead and is looking to lock a project with a young actor, though nothing is confirmed yet. With most young heroes busy, he may have to wait. For now, Devara 2 is simply delayed.
