Maharashtra Cyber called Tamannaah for questioning regarding the IPL matches streamed without permission on the Fairplay App. Viacom, which owns IPL broadcasting rights, reported significant financial losses due to this matters. Tamannaah must appear before authorities on April 29.
Sanjay Dutt was also summoned previously but requested a different date due to his busy filming schedule. Viacom, the official IPL broadcaster, lodged a complaint with the cyber cell about the illegal streaming causing substantial losses. Tamannaah allegedly promoted viewing IPL matches on the Fairplay betting app, where some matches were illegally streamed in 2023. Officials cited a complaint regarding this matter.
