Surya is one of the most highly accomplished actors in the Indian Film Industry, having played a wide range of characters throughout his distinguished career. The actor enjoys a good fanbase in the Tamil and Telugu audiences, thanks to his incredible talent, and his very down-to-earth personality off the screen.
Surya has now been bestowed with a very rare honor, where he has been invited to be a member of the prestigious Oscar awards 2022. This makes him the first South Indian actor to ever receive such an honor, which is a testament to the kind of actor he is, and the kind of content he endorses through his films.
Surya’s Soorarai Pottru (Aakasame Nee Haddura) was one of the top contenders for the Oscars at the time, but sadly didn’t make it to the end, and so was the case with the actor’s recently released film Jai Bhim. As such, it is truly flattering that the actor is bestowed with such a great honor.
