In May 2025 Suriya teamed up with Telugu director Venky Atluri who scored a hit with Lucky Baskhar for a fun family entertainer. Mamitha Baiju is the female lead and the film is currently referred to as Suriya 46.
The project has grabbed attention again as the shooting has now been completed and post production work will begin soon.
The film is produced under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The makers will announce the release date soon.
According to reports several major rights have already been sold. The overseas rights are with Fars Films, OTT rights with Netflix and music rights with Think Music. Through these deals, the team has reportedly earned around Rs 70 crore which covers the film’s production cost.
This makes the project financially safe and likely to be highly profitable. The film stars Suriya along with Nazriya, Naslen and others. Meanwhile Suriya is also preparing for Karuppu directed by RJ Balaji, targeting a January 2026 release, setting up back to back releases in 2026.
