Suriya 46 Bags Massive OTT Deal Even Before Shoot Begins

Suriya’s upcoming film Suriya 46, directed by Venky Atluri is already making headlines. This marks their first collaboration and the project promises a strong emotional storyline a trademark of Venky’s films.

The official announcement was made recently with a puja ceremony, and pictures from the event were shared online.

Even before shooting has started, Netflix has reportedly acquired the film’s post-theatrical OTT rights for a record Rs. 85 crore.

This is one of the biggest digital deals for a South Indian film and highlights Suriya’s rising global popularity. Suriya 46 is set to begin filming on May 30th. The rest of the cast and crew details are expected soon.

Meanwhile, Suriya’s recent release Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is a decent hit. Released on May 1, the film collected great numbers worldwide.
