Prior to the release of Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, Pushpa was not planned on a pan-Indian scale. However, the release of AVPL changed things for Allu Arjun, as the film turned out to be the biggest hit of his career. Pushpa is now being made on a pan-Indian scale, with the best cast and crew involved in the film.
Due to the large cope of the film, Pushpa is being made in two parts, where the first part is going to release this year, and the second part is expected to release next year. It is already known that director Sukumar had asked for some time between the first and second parts, so that he could work on the script. In the meantime, Allu Arjun was planning to complete shooting for Icon, to be directed by Venu Sriram. The script for Icon is all ready, but there seem to be disagreements between Allu Arjun and Sukumar over this matter now.
Sukumar is not said to be inclined towards Bunny doing another film in between, as that would lead to a loss in continuity for the actor. Sukumar is said to want to complete Pushpa in a flow, so that the momentum towards film would be maintained. With Sukumar and Bunny’s thoughts clashing with the other’s, it is now to be seen what will happen.
