The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started questioning several celebrities and influencers in connection with a money laundering case related to illegal online betting promotions.
According to reports the ED has summoned 29 people including well-known actors and social media stars, for promoting platforms like Junglee Rummy, A23, JeetWin, Parimatch and Lotus365.
These platforms are being investigated for breaking the Public Gambling Act of 1867 and for their involvement in major financial irregularities.
Actor Rana has been asked to appear on July 23, 2025, followed by Prakash Raj on July 30. Vijay Devarakonda is set to appear on August 6th, and Manchu Lakshmi on August 13th.
Others expected to be called soon include actresses Nidhhi Agerwal, Ananya Nagalla, Sreemukhi and YouTubers Harsha Sai and Bayya Sunny Yadav. The investigation is ongoing, and more names are likely to be added in the coming weeks.
