When Shah Rukh Khan was seen wearing Y+ security, his old interview in which he discussed death threats went viral.

The popularity of Shah Rukh Khan is unbounded. The actor is well-known worldwide and has a large following that spans several continents. But things haven’t always been good for SRK. The underworld once threatened Shah Rukh Khan, but King Khan refused to back down. Reddit users have been able to see an old interview with the actor in which he discussed receiving death threats and how he handles them.

Following death threats, Shah Rukh Khan was recently spotted wearing Y+ security. Netizens have discovered an old interview with the celebrity in which he revealed to American reporter Ruby Wax that he has been under heavy protection for the past three years due to numerous threats.

“They would set up a system, and they would say you do it,” the actor said to Ruby Wax. Even though I didn’t give in to it, they still shot you. So, making a movie is enjoyable occasionally.

“You’re seriously saying someone calls and says be in my film or I’ll blow your head off?” the reporter then questioned. With a nod, Shah Rukh answered, “Not as nicely as you’re saying it.” Shah Rukh informed her that the movie business is both extremely profitable and a simple target. The Zero actor responded, “Oh yeah, on many occasions,” when asked if he had ever had his life threatened. During those three years, I felt really secure.

The actor attended the screening event accompanied by Y+ security when SRK’s film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. For those who are interested, reports state that he is always accompanied by six police commandos as part of his security detail. Glock handguns, AK-47 assault rifles, and MP-5 machine guns were the weapons carried by the security squad. Four armed police officers will guard his home, and Shah Rukh Khan is covering all costs.

The Jawan actor told Anupama Chopra in an earlier interview for her book King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema that he would receive threats from Abu Salem on a regular basis, comparing it to living under a telescope. It was both terrifying and incredibly depressing. I wouldn’t be manly enough to turn around and claim that none of these guys frightened me. I was really afraid.

He remembered staying at home as well, saying, “I got very disturbed.” Their socks used to smell, our house was little, and my son was small. It was merely confining.
