Nithiin and Dil Raju had high expectations from Srinivasa Kalyanam that released on 9th August and directed by Satish Vegnesna. The director’s previous movie, Shatamanam Bhavathi became a huge blockbuster and this film too had a big fan frenzy and buzz prior to release. But before the release, buzz dipped and the movie did not open at expected high figures from different areas. Even the reviews and talk was really bad for the movie to become a hit.
But the producer announced that from the second day, movie picked up and families are liking it. After the first week, the collections are saying a different story altogether. Movie could not recover more than 50% even with Independence Day holiday for a price valued at 27 crores. It just collected Rs. 11.68 crores Worldwide and on Independence Day, it couldn’t stand a chance to fight with hot favourite Geetha Govindam.
