After Suriya’s last release 24 did extremely well at the box-office, it seems his stakes have shot up. And we hear the Telugu dubbing rights of the actor’s upcoming film Singam 3 have been sold for a record price. Apparently Telangana producer Malkapuram Shivakumar has bought the rights for a whopping amount of Rs 18 crore.
After Suriya’s earlier film did a phenomenal business in the two Telugu speaking states, it looks like the actor’s market value has shot up and the makers understand that. Interestingly, 24was more successful business wise in the Telugu speaking states than in Tamil Nadu and this has proved to be a boost. Moreover, the fact that it’s a proven franchise with two earlier films, looks like this is going to one gamble for the producer.
