Director Vetrimaaran recently confirmed that his next film will star Simbu and be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
While many assumed it to be Vada Chennai 2, Director Vetrimaaran said that it is a different project though set in the same world and timeline as Vada Chennai. He added that Vada Chennai 2 will happen only with Dhanush and not with Simbu.
Meanwhile sources reveal that Simbu will be seen in two different looks in this upcoming film. One will match his present-day appearance, while the other will show a younger version of him.
A shoot took place a couple of weeks ago with Simbu in his normal look and another shoot is planned soon with his younger look.
Both shoots are part of a special announcement video which is expected to be released next week. This update has increased curiosity among fans especially with the film being connected to the Vada Chennai universe.
