Siddharth grew tearful during a promotional event for his new film “Chinna” in Hyderabad, in an unexpected turn of events. He voiced his disappointment with tears, stating that several people in the Telugu cinema business had criticised him and his film.
Despite being a Tamil actor, Siddharth had enjoyed immense popularity in Telugu industry with several hit films. However, in recent years, he experienced a decline in tollywood film offers. After a significant hiatus, Siddharth appeared in the film Maha Samudram, which unfortunately flopped.
He took matters into his own hands by producing and acting in “Chithha,” which received a positive response in Tamil. It is set to release in Telugu as “Chinna” on October 6th, but Siddharth expressed his dismay at the lack of interest from distributors. Siddharth shared how Udhayanidhi Stalin praised his film in Tamil, and even a prominent Kerala distributor had shown faith in it.
However, in Telugu, doubts arose about its potential success. Siddharth passionately appealed to the audience to watch “Chinna” in theaters and stated that he wouldn’t hold any more press conferences in Telugu if it didn’t perform well, breaking down in tears. This emotional outburst highlights Siddharth’s dedication to his craft and the challenges he faces in the Telugu film industry.
