In an interview with Gulte, Samantha Ruth Prabhu acknowledged the strides the South’s entertainment sector has made in recent years, but she also shared that there was a time when South performers weren’t given the respect they deserved. She said, “It’s absolutely wonderful. Sometimes, we South actors couldn’t source garments from the designers because they were like, ‘Who are you?’ South actor? What South?” The actress further added, “We have come a long way from there, haven’t we? This inclusivity is quite amazing, and we’re finally where we should be.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who rose to fame after performing in a unique dance sequence in the movie Pushpa, also acknowledged that her career has experienced many ups and downs. While admitting this, she also said that she always planned for the worse, which was to her advantage.
