Salaar, the much-awaited high-voltage film in the combination of pan-India star Prabhas and Kannada director Prashant Neel is at the final stage of shooting. A few months back, the film’s female lead Shruti Haasan wrapped up her part of the shoot.
On the other hand, the film has been getting fancy offers from the trade circles. As per the latest reports, Salaar North America rights are snapped for a record price of Rs 38 crore. The deal is closed for all languages including Hindi and South versions, say sources. If the news is to be believed, Salaar has to collect close to $10 million at the US box office to be a safe bet for the buyers.
While Prabhas will be seen in an aggressive role, Shruti Haasan would be seen playing a journalist in the film. On the eve of Shruti Haasan’s birthday, a few months back the makers of Salaar released Shruti’s first look and character name from the film. Shruti Haasan plays Aadya in the film, and she is seen sitting in what seems to be a coal mine, thinking deeply about something. The actress looks beautiful and perfect in her role.
Meanwhile, the latest reports suggest that the film is coming close to wrap up the shooting part. As per the sources, except for a minor action blocks and a couple of songs, the film has wrapped up its entire shooting formalities.
We had even reported that Prashanth Neel is keen on locking the runtime of Salaar as three hours. Co-starring Jagapathi Babu and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in the antagonist roles, Salaar is scheduled for a grand release on September 28th in Hindi and all South versions. All the key technicians including photographer Bhuvan Gowda who earlier worked on the KGF series are working for Salaar as well.
