The makers of Venkatesh’s Saindhav have announced its release on January 13, 2024, during the Sankranthi festival. This decision has sparked discussion within trade circles. Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karam is scheduled for release on January 12, followed by Vijay Devarakonda’s Family Star, Raviteja’s Eagle, and Prashant Varma’s Hanu Man during the festival.
Trade circles appear unfazed by the releases of Guntur Karam and Family Star, as they anticipate these films will secure ample theater screenings. People’s Media Factory has also secured enough theaters for Eagle. However, Saindhav’s situation is unique, with speculations about whether Suresh Babu will lend support through his connections, such as Geetha Arts, to secure theaters for the film.
It’s worth noting that the producer clarified that they hadn’t received any blessings from Suresh Babu for the Sankranthi release, leaving some puzzled by the decision. Opinions are divided on Saindhav’s choice to join the Sankranthi race.
Some believed it might opt for a December release to avoid clashing with Guntur Karam, Eagle, and Family Star. Nonetheless, the makers express confidence that a film with good content can withstand competition, and they are optimistic about Saindhav’s prospects in the midst of these clashes.
