Did you know that Aamir Khan was once criticized by comedian Russell Peters, who told him to “shut up” and “mind his own business”?
Aamir Khan is a superstar and one of the greatest names in Bollywood. He is one of the most admired actors in the movie business and is frequently referred to as “Mr. Perfectionist” in the media. However, did you know that the actor was previously criticized by comedian Russell Peters, who told him to “shut up” and “mind his own business”?
The AIB roast swiftly gained traction on social media in 2015. Tanmay Bhatt, Gursimran Khamba, Karan Johar, and Arjun Kapoor were among the well-known attendees. The roast special became embroiled in several disputes. Aamir was one of the famous people who denounced the roasts.
Aamir Khan had responded to a few portions from the roast by saying that it had “deeply affected” and “disappointed” him. The actor was also front about the fact that he had only watched brief clips of the programme and had heard more about it from Karan Johar and Arjun Kapoor, who had also given him a few lines from it.
During the conversation, Russell Peters responded to Aamir’s statement. “Seriously, who is he—the so-called artist—to claim that he considered it violent and that AIB and the others involved should have been held accountable? He was not even aware of it! Please have someone tell him to stop talking and mind his own business.
In front of the camera, Aamir recites dialogue that was written by someone else; Russell Peters calls him “an actor, not even a real artist.” Russell voiced scepticism over the proportion of interviewees who got the joke.
Not just Russell, but other celebrities, criticised Aamir. Aamir’s coworker on the movie Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Pooja Bhatt, expressed her “appallment” at his “sudden self-righteous mode.” The actress also referenced Aamir’s other flicks and brought up the “double meaning” song Bhaag DK Bose from Delhi Belly.
