The year 2022 is mixed baggage for Tollywood. While films like RRR and Sita Ramam added much weight to the Telugu films and filmmakers, a few highly-anticipated films bombed at the box office. • Khiladi

Directed by Ramesh Varma, Khiladi starring Ravi Teja in the lead role had a theatrical release in February 2022. Opened to below-par reports, the film failed miserably at the ticket windows. Co-starring Meenakshi Chaudhary and Dimple Hayathi as the female leads, Khiladi also has Anasuya, Murali Sharma among others in key roles. The film is available online on Disney Plus Hotstar.

• Son of India

Starring senior actor Manchu Mohan Babu in the lead role, Son of India directed by Dimond Rathna Babu had a theatrical release in February and ended up as a miserable failure. The film is available online on Amazon Prime Video.

• Radhe Shyam

Starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde as the lead pair, Radhe Shyam, a period love drama had a theatrical release in March and ended up as a box-office failure. Directed by Radhakrishna Kumar, the film is available online on Amazon Prime Video. The other versions such as Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam are also available on the streaming platform.

• Acharya

Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles had a theatrical release in April. Opened to poor reports, the film failed to sustain at the ticket windows. Co-starring Pooja Hegde as the pair opposite Ram Charan, the film is available online on Amazon Prime Video.

• F3

Starring Venkatesh and Varun Tej in the lead roles, F3 is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster, F2. The film was directed by Anil Ravipudi and failed to live upto the expectations. Co-starring Tamannaah and Mehreen as the female leads, F3 is available online on SonyLIV.

• Sammathame

Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Chandini Chowdary as the lead pair, Sammathame directed by Gopinath Reddy is a box office failure. The film is available online on Aha.

• Pakka Commercial

Directed by Maruthi, Pakka Commercial starring Gopichand and Rashi Khanna as the lead pair had a theatrical release in July. Opened to poor reports, the film ended up as a disaster at the ticket windows. The film is available online on the Netflix platform.

• Happy Birthday

Starring Lavanya Tripathi in the lead role, Happy Birthday directed by Ritesh Rana had a theatrical release in July and bombed at the box office. The film is available online on Netflix.

• The Warriorr

Directed by Kollywood director Lingusamy, The Warriorr is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Starring Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty as the lead pair, the film was a box-office failure. The Warriorr is available online on Disney Plus Hotstar.

• Thank You

• Ramarao: On Duty

• Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali

Starring Sudheer Babu and Krithi Shetty as the lead pair, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna had a theatrical release in September.
