During the pre-release event of the film Dhandoraa, actor Sivaji’s comments about the dressing sense of actresses created a big controversy. Though he tried to express his personal opinion some of his words did not go down well and faced strong criticism. The issue quickly became a hot topic across media and social media.
Within 24 hours Sivaji released an apology video and spoke about the matter openly. He said he was sorry for the words he used and said that he never meant to insult anyone. He explained that his comments were made out of concern and advice but not with a bad intention.
At a recent press meet Sivaji again addressed the issue and accepted that his choice of words caused discomfort.
He said sorry for that and said he respects everyone. At the same time he said he stood by the intention behind his statement while taking responsibility for how it was said.
He also shared that the controversy affected him personally. He ended by hoping that attention would now shift back to the film and its team.
